Scope:

• Overall: Construction of the new civic offices extension of salima town and rehabilitation of the existing office building

• Programme: Offices, chamber hall, sanitary areas, external works

 

Energy efficiency measures:

Passive:

• Thermal mass (locally produced earth bricks) to balance internal temperature

• Ventilated roof

• Natural cross-ventilation in all offices and the chamber via windows (manual control)

• Vegetation in the courtyard allows for evaporative cooling
